Forehead Reduction and Forehead Lifting in Your 20s and 30s?

2025-09-26

Hello, this is Respect Plastic Surgery. :D

For those who are concerned about a wide forehead or who feel their eyes look small and heavy, forehead reduction and forehead lifting can be considered.

But is it possible for young patients in their 20s and 30s?

Today, we will explain forehead lifting for people in their 20s and 30s!

Many people think that “lifting” is a procedure only for middle-aged or older patients.
However, these days, many young patients in their 20s and 30s also undergo forehead lifting.
The recovery period is short, scarring is minimal to almost invisible, and the surgery is favored by influencers and celebrities who want natural yet noticeable changes.

When to Consider Forehead Reduction and Forehead Lifting

Those with a short distance between the eyes and eyebrows
Those whose forehead or eyebrows droop, giving a sleepy look
Those who habitually raise their forehead to open their eyes
Those with thick eyelid skin where double eyelid surgery alone does not create a visible crease

In such cases, even patients in their 20s and 30s can consider forehead reduction combined with forehead lifting.
When done earlier in life, the results may last longer, and sagging with age can be reduced.

Benefits of Combining Forehead Reduction and Forehead Lifting

▶ Correction of eyebrow asymmetry

▶ Hairline lifting

▶ A wide forehead can be reduced more effectively when combined with lifting rather than reduction alone

▶ For patients with thick eyelid skin where double eyelid surgery is not visible, lifting the skin upward makes the crease clearer

▶ Improvement of deep forehead wrinkles and frown lines

By performing forehead reduction and lifting together, forehead length, eyebrow asymmetry, and eyebrow position can all be corrected.
This creates a balanced, beautiful forehead, a defined eyebrow line, a lifted hairline, and improved forehead contour—resulting in naturally harmonious facial proportions.

Surgical Method & Results

Before & After

This post features an actual patient who underwent surgery at Respect Plastic Surgery.
The patient consented in advance to share their case, and all explanations comply with medical law.
Results may vary for each individual.

For patients whose double eyelid crease was hidden by thick skin, surgery can make the crease and eyes appear clearer and more defined.
The sleepy-looking impression is replaced with sharp, bright eyes—one of the reasons why many patients in their 20s and 30s choose this procedure.

Recovery Period

Swelling peaks around 2–3 days after surgery, rather than on the day of surgery itself.
It usually subsides within 1–2 weeks, and in some cases, up to 3–4 weeks.
Most patients can return to daily activities within a week.
Recovery time varies by individual.

Compared to other surgeries, recovery is faster, making it a suitable option for office workers and students.
It provides noticeable results with quick healing, and scarring is minimal to nearly invisible.

Post-Surgery Precautions

Medication
After surgery, headaches, dizziness, or nausea may occur due to anesthesia. Please take the prescribed medication as directed. If you feel additional pain, you may take Tylenol.

Swelling Management
To reduce swelling and bruising, cold compresses for about 3–5 days followed by warm compresses (mild warmth, not hot) are recommended.

Hair Washing
Since the incision is along the scalp, shampooing should be avoided for the first 3 days to prevent irritation.

Face Washing
Light cleansing and showers are possible even on the day of surgery, but avoid direct water contact on the surgical area.
